On Wednesday November 4th at 2215 hours Officers with the Waterloo Police Department were dispatched to 1330 #4 Shamrock Drive on a report of a robbery at this apartment. The caller stated that several males wearing masks pushed their way into the apartment and robbed them at gunpoint. There was a delay from when the robbery occured to when the victim was able to call this in.
Prior to the robbery call coming in a Waterloo Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle at 11th and Washington which turned into a short vehicle pursuit. The occupants of the vehicle ended up fleeing on foot. It was determined that the occupants of this vehicle had committed the armed robbery. Officers were able to locate the suspects and executed a search warrant at 172 W. 10th. Numerous items were recovered reference the robbery investigation.
The Waterloo Police Department arrested three people in connection to this case. Their names and charges are as follows:
Chavee Harden (30 year old male) – Charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree
Antione Maxwell (32 year old male) – Charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Firearm as a Felon
Dennis Brown (36 year old male) - Charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, and Possession of a Firearm as a Felon
The Investigation into this case is still ongoing.
