On Saturday, May 15^th 2021 at about 0330 hours the Waterloo Police Department and Waterloo Fire responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Grant Ave. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area. A male was discovered in the alley off the 1400 block of Grant that had been shot. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. Two females were found to have been shot as well. The injuries to the two females are non-life threatening. One female was taken to the Emergency Department at Mercy One in Waterloo while the other female was transported by ambulance.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time. An autopsy for the deceased male is pending. If anyone has information regarding this shooting please call the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-4340.
