On 05-25-2021 at approximately 9:22 PM Officers were dispatched to Allen Hospital, reference two persons suffering from gunshot wounds.   Upon their arrival at the hospital they found Quinton Davis, 19 year old male and Alexis Whitaker 27 year old female suffering from gunshot wounds to their backs.   Through  the course of the investigation, the victims stated Dai D. Battles age 29 had shot at them from his vehicle after an altercation at 1240 Ackermant Street.   . Battles was located, interviewed and admitted to firing the weapon on US 63.   Battles was charged with Felon in possesion of a firearm, Willful Injury and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon.   He is currently int he Black Hawk County Jail.
