SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED

On August 22 2022 at 4:12 AM Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the 1200 block of South Street on a report of people yelling outside. Upon arrival, officers heard one gun shot. Officers determined the gun shot had come from a subject at 1223 South Street. The subject, 21 yrs. old, Tywaun Wilson, of Waterloo, Iowa came out of the residence and was detained. A search warrant was served at the residence and a .22 caliber rifle with an obliterated serial number was seized. Wilson was charged with domestic assault with intent to cause injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, and reckless use of firearm.
