Homicide Victim Identified

On Sunday August 21, 2022 at approximately 10:18 PM, Waterloo Police responded to the 1000 blk of W 5^th Street in reference to a shots fired call.  Responding Officers located a male-shooting victim and started to administer first aide, until Waterloo Fire arrived on scene.  The victim was transported to MercyOne hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.  The victim has been identified as Johnnie Murrell Rose age 32, a resident of Waterloo.
