On July 13th, 2009 at approximately 6:15 PM, Waterloo Police responded to 909 W 3rd Street on a report of shots being fired and where there were at least two gun shot victims. Upon arrival it was found that there were three male victims with gunshot wounds.  Two of the victims were transported to Covenant Medical Center, and one victim was transported to Allen Hospital by Waterloo Fire Department ambulances.

The names and conditions of the victims are not being released at this time. The incident remains under investigation by the Waterloo Police Department.
