On Monday, July 20, 2009 shortly before 1:30 pm Waterloo Police officers were called to the area of Broadway and Conger Streets on a report of a shooting that had just occurred.  Upon arrival officers found one male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the torso area of his body.  The victim was taken to Allen Hospital by Waterloo Fire Rescue Paramedics.  No information about the victim's identity or his condition will be released at this time.

Investigators are continuing their investigation.
