On Thursday, September 24, 2009, Waterloo Police officers arrested three suspects in connection with the armed robbery of the Romantix Adult Emporium at 1507 LaPorte Road.

Twenty-one-year-old Milos Matijevic, 20-year-old Bradly Anthony Woods and 17-year-old Anthony Angel Zarate were charged with robbery in the fist degree.

Investigators have now tied Matijevic, Woods and Zarate to other armed robberies in the Waterloo area.  Matijevic and Zarate have been charged with three additional counts of robbery in the fist degree and Woods has been charged with four additional counts of robbery in the first degree in connection with the following incidents.

On Saturday, August 22, 2009 shortly after 4 am, an adult male victim was robbed of cash at gunpoint while walking in the 400 block of East 10th Street.  The victim was not injured during this incident.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2009 shortly after 12 am, Waterloo Police officers investigated a "home invasion" incident at 235 Western Avenue where the victims were pistol whipped and robbed at gunpoint of cash and cellular phones.  At this time Woods is the only suspect charged in connection with this incident.

On Friday, September 11, 2009 around 11 pm, an adult male victim and an adult female victim were robbed of cash and cellular phones at gunpoint while parked in a car at Tibbitts Park in the 700 block of Cedar Bend.  One of the suspects struck the male victim in the face with his fist during this incident.

On Saturday, September 12, 2009 around 3:30 am, a Yellow Cab taxi driver was robbed of cash at gunpoint while in the 500 block of Newton Street.  The victim was not injured during this incident.

Matijevic, Woods and Zarate continue to be held in the Black Hawk County Jail.  No photos will be released.  Investigation continues.
