On December 22, 2009 at approximately 11:25 PM, Waterloo Police Officers were called to Elite Liquor at 1309 Lafayette Street on a report of an armed robbery that had just ocurred. Two males, one described as black, entered the business with their heads and faces covered and confronted the clerk. One subject was armed with a handgun and the second with a shoulder weapon. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash from the register, a shot was reportedly fired inside the store by one of the suspects. The suspects then fled the store.

There were no injuries reported. The investigation continues.
