Recently the Waterloo Police has investigated several incidents where drivers have left their cars unlocked and running while they make short stops. In each case, the victims have had items stolen from their vehicles.

Waterloo Police are reminding all drivers to shut their vehicles off and lock their doors, even if they are only going to be gone for a short time. These are crimes of opportunity, so please help by eliminating those opportunities.
