On January 27, 2011, Waterloo Police were sent to the office building at 531 Commercial Street on a report of several offices being burglarized.

The following offices were entered:

Senator Charles Grassley Office, Scott Nelson CPA, Ritland Construction, Zimmerman Law Office, Hope Haven, Speer Financial, Holmes Law Office, Cardinal Construction and Invision Architecture.

The office doors to Iowa Business Solutions and Dunakey and Klatt Law Offices were vandalized but no entry gained.

The intruders entered by prying open the office doors. Desks and file cabinets were gone through but very little was taken. Items taken included loose change and office supplies.
