On March 10, 2011 at approximately 12:18 PM, Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue were sent to the 1300 block of Newell Street on report of a motor vehicle accident.

Investigating officers found that a John Deere tractor, traveling east, went off the road, struck a utility pole and rolled on its side. The 23 year-old female driver was pinned under the tractor and died at the scene.

The identity of the driver will not be released until family is notified.
