On Saturday, March 19, 2011, Waterloo Police were sent to Allen Hospital on a report of a shooting victim in the emergency department. Officers found that the victim, Rashad Alik Scott, age 19, of 310 Oliver Street, Waterloo had been shot in the right arm.

The shooting took place in front of Poor Boys Soul Food, 523 Dane Street. Police later recovered a shell casing in front of the restaurant.

On Thursday, March 24, 2011, Police arrested Aundrey Frequal Roberts, Jr. age 17, of 232 Gable Street, Waterloo. He has been charged with Willful Injury (class C felony) and Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon (class C felony) for shooting Scott. He is being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.
