On Saturday, June 4th, 2011, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Waterloo Police Officers were dispatched to 506 Denver Street on the report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Tony Flowers (d.o.b. 3/15/71), who advised that he had been shot by Brandon Lanier in the 200 block of Thompson Avenue.

Officers located Brandon Lanier (d.o.b. 12/21/81) at his residence, 410.5 Thompson Avenue, and took him into custody. Officers also recovered the firearm used in this incident.

Flowers was treated and released from Allen Hospital. He sustained a minor injury to his left arm.

Brandon Lanier was charged with Going Armed with Intent, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm as a Felon.
