On Monday September 5, 2011 at approximately 0030hrs, Officers with the Waterloo Police Department's Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT) conducted a traffic stop with a Pontiac Bonneville in the area of  E.  4th St and Newell St.  The vehicle was driven by twenty-year-old Domonique Harrison and sixteen-year-old Demitrie Porter.  During such time Officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Upon searching the vehicle Officers discovered a quantity of marijuana packaged for delivery and consistent with the distribution of drugs.  Officers also located a loaded .380 semi-auto handgun in the vehicle.  Harrison was booked on felony charges for possession of a firearm while being convicted of domestic assault and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.  Harrison was also charged with carrying weapons.  Porter was charged with carrying weapons.  Other charges are pending.
