Waterloo Police Investigate Armed Robbery

WATERLOO POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED ROBBERY

On December 16, 2008 at approximately 12:18 a.m., Waterloo Police received a report from a pizza delivery driver, that he had been robbed in the 1200 block of W. Mullan Avenue.

A Papa John's Pizza delivery driver was sent to 1246 W. Mullan Avenue to deliver a pizza and was met at the door by a black male with a handgun. The driver was ordered into the vacant apartment and robbed at gunpoint of approximately twenty dollars in cash. He was then ordered to run out of the back door of the apartment.

The victim described the suspect as a black male of unknown age, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall and slender to medium build. The suspect was reportedly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a scarf over the lower half of his face. A second male suspect was present at the time of the incident, but no description could be given of him. The handgun was described as black in color and possibly a revolver.

There were no injuries reported. Incident remains under investigation.
