On February 23, 2022 at about 6:25 p.m., Officers responded to the area of 617 Dawson St reference a shooting that had just occurred.  Responding Officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot to his left arm and left chest area.  He was transported to Unity Point Allen Hospital and later airlifted to the U of I Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.  Officers checking the area located and detained a 16 year old male suspect.  After further investigation it was determined he had been the shooter and was charged with Robbery 1^st Degree, Willful Injury, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and Going Armed with Intent.

No additional information is being released at this time as this investigation is ongoing.
