On Saturday August 27th 2022  at approximately 12:07 P.M.  Waterloo Police responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred at 226 Palmer Apt D in Waterloo.  Officers arrived and located a male victim with a single gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a local hospital and later died.  The victim has been identified as 26 yr old Cortavius Benford.  As a result of the investigation Detectives have charged 23 yr old Savion Wilson with Murder 1st.

 

A criminal Charge/Warrant is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
