Police Investigate Shooting

On June 24, 2010, at 1:16 AM, Officers were sent to 413 Ricker Street on report of shooting. While in route to 413 Ricker Street, additional officers were sent to 315 Quincy Street on report of a gun shot victim there.

Upon arrival officers found that the shooting occurred at 413 Ricker Street. One victim, John Marvin Parham, Jr, age 58, of 413 Ricker Street, Waterloo, was on the ground in front of the house. He had several gunshot wounds to the torso. The second victim, Terence Terril Dixon, age 27, of 1762 Flower Street, Apt. #1, Waterloo, ran to 315 Quincy Street. He had been shot in the left arm and abdomen.

Parham was taken to a Allen Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for life threatening injuries. Dixon was taken to Covenant Medial Center where he is being treated for his injuries.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Waterloo Police Department at 319-291-4340.
