Waterloo Police and Fire Officials Investigate Suspected Arson Fire

On Tuesday, November 25, 2008 around 1:10 a.m. Waterloo Police officers and Waterloo Fire Rescue firefighters were called to the 2000 block of Commercial Street on the report of several vehicles on fire.  When officers arrived they found four vehicles were on fire inside a fenced in lot, which belongs to Ray Mount Wrecker Service.  Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the burning vehicles and no injuries were sustained in this incident.

Police and Fire officials believe the fire started in a white 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and then spread to three other nearby vehicles.  Officials suspect the fire may have been intentionally set and the investigation into this incident continues.
