Waterloo Police Investigate Residential Burglary/Robbery
On Monday, December 8, 2008 around 2:30 a.m., Waterloo Police Department officers responded to a
9-1-1 hang up call at 937 Conger Street. When officers arrived in the area they saw two persons, later identified as Jarvis Emett Guyton and Jamar Ronod Wise, leaving the residence carrying a large plastic tote type of container, which officers later learned contained various pieces of electronic equipment (TV, PlayStation, etc). Guyton and Wise then ran from officers. Guyton was quickly apprehended and Wise was tracked to a residence at 930 Conger Street and taken into custody.
Officers learned that Guyton and Wise and perhaps two or three other unknown persons forced their way into the residence at 937 Conger Street, displayed handguns and then robbed the occupants, taking the electronic equipment. No one was injured during this incident.
Guyton, age 20 and Wise, age 16, both of Waterloo were charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and False Imprisonment. Guyton and Wise's pictures will not be released at this time.
The investigation continues.
