Waterloo Police Will Increase Patrols During The Holiday Season

Waterloo Police Department Chief of Police Thomas Jennings announces that Waterloo Police officers will once again increase the number of patrols in and around the Crossroads Center shopping mall and the Waterloo downtown business district during the upcoming holiday season.  This annual, proactive project, which began in the mid 1990's, has proven popular with merchants and shoppers alike.

The goal of this project is to provide a high profile law enforcement presence not only at the Crossroads Center shopping mall and downtown business district, but at the Crossroads Center satellite stores and strip malls as well.  Officers will patrol on foot and by car.  The project will begin on Friday, November 28, 2008 and will continue through the Christmas shopping season.
