Accident Fatality Identified

On Sunday, December 5, 2010, Waterloo Police responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 3900 block of Midway Avenue. When officers arrived, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The driver was dead at the scene.

On Monday, December 6, 2010, the Iowa State Medical Examiners Office conducted an autopsy on the driver.

Today, December 8, 2010, the Iowa State Medical Examiners Officer released the results of the autopsy. Through dental records, the driver was identified as Jacob Allen Charley, age 18, of 913 Progress Avenue, Waterloo, IA. Charley died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
